It’s hard not to procrastinate when you are not just ‘in the mood’ to do things. What makes it even harder is when you feed the thought of not wanting to actually do it!
It’s frustrating especially when you have to get it done as soon as possible. Like an essay due tomorrow or a long quiz the next day, you’re always stuck between doing it and not.
But really, how can you stop yourself from procrastinating?
Here are few tips on how to stop yourself from procrastinating.
1. Don’t wait for the mood; make it
Don’t, just don’t, it might never come.
2. Start sooner; finish sooner
The earlier you finish, the more free time you get.
3. Make a To Do list
List out what needs to be done. It can save you time and remember tip no. 2.
4. Remember your goal
What will you get if you do it now? You get it done.
5. Avoid distractions
Turn off the TV or the radio; focus on what you are supposed to do.
6. Don’t get overwhelmed
If you are studying for different exams, don’t feed the thought that it is too much for you. Continue reviewing and take everything you can.
