Tips on How to Ace Your SAT/ACT Exams

Date posted: Feb 18, 2016       Posted by: Marie France Adraneda

Ah, the dreaded SAT/ACT exams. Well, it doesn’t have to be! Preparing for the said exams is a must, and every high school senior must understand how to do the right preparation tips to ace these exams. Let’s start with the tips!

1. Try skipping the harder questions. It might seem like procrastinating, but really, it’s not. Skipping the hard questions and moving on to the easier ones (the ones that you know the answers to) will save you a lot of time. You can always go back to the harder questions once you remember the answers to it. One tip is to encircle the questions that you skipped with a pencil, so you can easily go back to it later.

2. Eliminate the obvious wrong answers. Or at least the ones that you know is not the right answer in the bunch. Doing this will make you feel more confident of the answer that you will select in the end.

3. Study in advance. But not too advance that you forget the answers to everything. Preparing days before the exams will help you refresh your memory. If you have already studied for the exams, then just do a refresher and breeze through your notes/books.

4. And lastly, stay calm all through it all. Do not panic, I repeat: do not panic! The SAT/ACT exams might feel like too much pressure, especially because of the time constriction. Remember to just breathe in and breathe out, remember what you have studied, and answer your sheets calmly but surely. Just remember to answer what you can, and leave the other stuff to answer for later.
You’re all set for the SAT/ACT exams! Go on and ace them, and remember, you are amazing!
