Hey! What’s up? I’m so sorry it took me so long to write here in my student athlete blog.

I’m pretty busy with our upcoming matches next month and my preparation for college. Yep yep, you read that right and I will be visiting colleges and universities soon!

You guys really don’t know how excited I am to see this whole new world that is waiting for me! And this is all thanks to Czarina. Now, let me tell you a story.

I, along with my teammates was in the school field, practicing as usual. We were preparing for this upcoming soccer game with the neighboring school. Soccer is something I really enjoy, and never in my high school life had I regretted joining the team. There are just some days that I feel bad, really bad for being a bad student.

Luckily, Czarina who’s a close friend of mine, blogs about her secrets as a student president, you probably saw that already. As I was reading her post, then came Teachers-to-GO! and through some research, I came across its affiliate PGEM, and PGEM happens to offer University Counseling and University visits! That was something I badly need right now.

To keep the story shorter, I’d be in UK this summer through PGEM’s UK University Visit Programme! I’ll be visiting universities such as the University of Warwick, University of Birmingham, University of Bristol, University of Bath, and many more!

There will be private tours of each institution, seminars, and information sessions. Guidance and advice are available at all times from experienced careers counselors accompanying the tour. We will also be given a chance to talk to admission officers and understand the differences in what each university or college offers.

What I liked more about it is that the UK University Visit Programme includes a one-on-one session with a College counselor who will help me to understand the whole application process. With that, I’d be able to discuss my personal ambitions and explore my own career preferences, obtain advice on the choice of courses and colleges available, find out how to obtain prospectuses and application forms, and find out the IBDP or A Level grades and required for preferred courses and colleges.

I am very much excited for my very productive summer! What about you guys? Have you decided what to do this summer? PGEM offers a lot of summer programmes that you should never miss! If you are interested, you can email them at or visit their page at
